The people of Haiti and the world has changed forever and all of us will have an impact on the Haitian people regardless of what we planned for our New Years resolution. The Haitian people are survivors regardless of a long history of environmental changes in its climate and traumatic disasters that literally have altered they way of life; not just for the Haitian people, but for everybody. We have approximately 380 thousand orphan children in Haiti and most of them are under the age of 5 years old with no future or promise to attend college or to build a life in education. Everyday during the earthquake we witness miraculous rescues from Fairfax Virginia Rescues Division, Dutch Rescue Squad, the German Rescue Team with dogs, and more. The rescue teams have claimed victory in getting these victims out of an collapse structures where some of our children and adults of Haiti have been for about 7 days.
Many of these children are rescued with injuries but have managed to keep smiles on their faces while being lifted to safety from collapse structures. Children are remarkable and resultant to the dangers before them but always keep there head up in time of tragedy. The world of hands are communicating together that include: United States of America, Germany, Denmark, Israel, England, and others to provide hope for the Haitian people. Collectively we are engaging in humanitarian aid without borders to capitalize on the needs and rescue of the Haitian people and there cries. These cries gives us hope for these little bodies of angles that make us laugh and cry. We can reflect on these beautiful children despite this place of destruction and mayhem, and see something wonderful because they are spiritual people that have sustained generations of poverty and environmental changes but have always pickup the pieces to survive another day. Often when we look at an invasion and see war and destruction like the Iraq War; but we are not at war with Haiti we are at war with the environment and we need to do more to take care of Mother Earth. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), World Health Council, the Department of Health and Human Resources, and the world need to participate in a Global Initiative and set aside politics and handle this erosion of our earth.
Our planted is being attacked and the invasion on this planet is here and has been here for 200 years or more. Haiti and other tropical and non-tropical areas need to be rescued from the perils of human; environmental destructive disasters. We need to be our brother's keeper and embrace life and not destroy it region by region. These are the times when we should understand the value of life and use the tools of humanity to be more helpful to mankind instead of beating one down in the streets of Chicago, Il; New York, NY; Atlanta, Georgia; Los Angeles, California, China, and South Africa.
We have seen everyone from Bono, Wyclef, Denzel Washington, Will I Am, George Clooney, and others that have step up to the plate for Haiti and the Haitian people to let them know the people care and want to calm their fears. For three hours on National networks George Clooney and partners demonstrated their love and commitment to the people of Haiti with a celebration of the people from New York to London in raising money for the earthquake survivors. However, the greed of the world still exist with our Wall Street money mongers that are still collecting and not rescuing the people of the world with their mega bonuses. We knew the people of this world were of giving hearts, it just takes a disaster as this to bring out the caring side of the people and not be selfish like the Wall Streets and the banking industry.
Let's be mindful of others and share the gifts of peace and love to the people around the world to expand our giving not only to the people of Haiti but to the lost children of the United States and the world where underserved and socially disadvantage areas still exist. We need the Presidents of all nations to set aside the political corruption of its government and bring some stability to regions when the dust settles in Haiti and other under developed nations. A lot of money will be going into the rebuilding of Haiti and we need the cooperation of the Haitian government to avoid wasteful spending of relief money and not personal agenda. We need to build a structure for the orphans and help Haiti's families to be sustainable thereafter.
